These past few weeks we have had many DM's about our front door. What type of 'Dutch'

door is it?

This type of door is 2X2 sdl flat bottom panel, stool (aka shelf), standard wood 'Dutch' door. It can be ordered through various sources and suppliers, but can't be bought off the shelf from places like Lowes or Home Depot.

The Evolution of Our Doors

Our very first home, 905 Loma Vista Street. The kids were very small when we built this home. I wasn't ready for a dutch door with two toddlers and a smaller, open floor plan. You could see through the entire house from our front door and I didn't like the idea of the lack of privacy.

We opted for an 'Off-The-Shelf', 4 Lite Rancho Craftsman, solid wood door.

Average Cost: $1200

Our first investment project was 848 Loma Vista Street. For this home we opted for a dutch door without glass. This type of door is a 2 panel, arched top, adler door, with v-grooved raised panels.

Average Cost: $1700

By the time we built 1124 E Acacia Ave, I was ready for a dutch door of our own. We had a formal front entry way that felt more private, if the door was left open. Similar to 848 Loma Vista, this type of door is a 2 panel, arched top adler door, with v-grooved raised panels. We added some extra charm with a brass, fishing hook door hanger from Anthropologie.
